In 2014 we completed the Thames 1000 Challenge, 1000 miles cycling, kayaking and walking for three charities including Kids Inspire. The charities received £7000 each. Here's how the money helped Kids Inspire:

Jake, Sam and Poppy live with their Dad in Chelmsford. They have witnessed domestic violence, drug and alcohol abuse. We have been working with them to help them come to terms with the loss of their Mum (she has disappeared and they have not seen her for more than 18 months) and the constant unpredictability of their Father's self medication.

Jack,  Cate and Ross live with their Dad in Colchester. Mum suffers from Mental Health issues and has been physically abusive to the children in the past. They only  have supervised visits with mum (although she often lets them down!). The children are receiving therapy to help them come to terms with the trauma they have suffered.

Natasha lives with her Mum in Chelmsford. She has had a very chaotic confusing childhood which included being abused at 5, savaged by a dog at 12 and living in foster care for 2 years when Mum was in prison. We originally worked with Mum who has mental health issues which helped them move out of the women's refuge. We continue to work one to one with Natasha, we are supporting her through her GCSE's helping her to have the future she deserves.

Louis, Cam, Josh and Lindsey live with their Mum in Chelmsford. We have been working long-term with this family who are unfunded. Mum had a traumatic childhood and has mental health difficulties that effect day to day care of the children. Louis and Josh both suffer from Cerebral Palsy which is an added responsibility. Mum also has a life threatening heart condition and recently had major heart surgery. The children were split up during her recovery which added to the daily trauma of this young family.

Without the support of the Rose Charitable Foundation, these cases would have been unfunded and it may have meant these cases weren't dealt with or had to wait until Kids Inspire had managed to raise the funds.

Caudwell Children would like to sincerely thank the The Rose Charitable Foundation & Roseville Group, a specialist Sub -Contracting painting & decorating company with offices in Essex & Dubai, for choosing the charity as its ‘Charity Partner’  in 2015.

Their invaluable support has seen the Group contributing to the charity in a number of ways throughout the year.

Through the Roseville Group’s charitable arm, The Rose Charitable Foundation, the company registered a team to play at our legendary Celebrity Golf Classic, held at the five star Carrick Golf Course in Loch Lomond on Thursday 24th September, 2015. They also supported the charity by attending our annual flagship fundraising event, the prestigious Butterfly Ball 2015, which welcomed global legend Lionel Richie as our headline act!

Not only that they also organised the Rose Rally, a bank holiday weekend classic car event which saw drivers taking on a 1,000 mile round trip of the South Coast. Participants took to the road in two door pre-1985 cars!

Representatives from the Group also attended our luxury Ladies Lunch event in October, and a Rothschild Vendanges Drinks Reception in London.

Two of their employees volunteered on our annual Destination Dreams holiday to Florida in December. The charity created Destination Dreams in 2007 to give 25 children, with life threatening conditions, the opportunity to experience a once-in-a lifetime trip to Disney World.

Director Mark Stewart, also completed the Florid Cycle, an epic cycle challenge that saw participants taking on a unique 400 mile journey from Key West to Orlando. Cyclists enjoyed travelling though Florida’s stunning coastline before being welcomed across the finishing line, at the Give Kids The World resort, by the children and families that they had supported on Destination Dreams.

Their support throughout 2015 has been inspirational as Trudi Beswick, Chief Executive of Caudwell Children, explained: “The Roseville Group have engaged with the charity at every opportunity and their contribution is greatly appreciated.

“They have a history of supporting some inspirational and worthy charities so we were delighted when they chose Caudwell Children as ‘Charity Partner’ in 2015.

“It’s been an absolute pleasure to work with them and we are proud to have had their generous support throughout the year.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank them for their compassion, commitment and passion which continues to change the lives of disabled children across the UK. THANK YOU!”

"Dear all at The Rose Charitable Foundation,

Thank you very much for your extremely generous donation, we appreciate your support and will be using the money towards our new playhouse.

Your generosity goes beyond just practical support but also affects each and every one of our children individually as it helps us to provide the best care we possibly can for each of them and for that we are extremely grateful.

Thank you so much, you helped put a lot of big happy smiles on our children's faces.

From Dan on behalf of the whole Yorda team"

A personal thank you from one of the individuals that we support, Jaco van Gass.
