The Rose Rally 2015 raises in excess of £20,000

On Monday evening, all Rose Rally participants arrived at the Burstead Golf Club to celebrate the completion of the rally. Thankfully, all the cars made it back with only a couple of hiccups on the way!

The evening on the 31st was a great success and raised £3000 for the charity. Thank you very much to Burstead Golf Club. In total, the rally raised in excess of £20,000. A fantastic amount that will go a very long way to the charities.

Throughout the rally, the participants were working towards a number of prizes. Below are the prizes and the winners:

Rose Rally Winner

(The challenger award, for completing the most challenges correctly during the four days).

Congratulations to Ian & Mark Bigwood who won the rally, they did a fantastic job and as two very competitive brothers, I'm sure they wouldn't have had it any other way!

Veteran award

(for the oldest car that successfully completes the rally mileage)

This award went to Brian Gazzard, who had a wonderful Series 1 E Type Jaguar.

Spirit of the Rally Award

(for the car (its owner) that raises the most in financial terms for the charity by the after party dinner.)

This was awarded to Arthur Nelmes, who raised over £1500 in sponsorship for the rally.

Charity shield

(for the car/occupant that experienced the most mechanical issues throughout the rally)

This was awarded to Simon Boyles in his MG GBT. Thankfully, there was a mechanic taking part in the rally who could get Simon back on his way again!

We'd like to say a big thank you to everyone who took part in the rally. Thank you to everyone who made a donation to the rally, and to those who sponsored vehicles. We'd also like to say thank you to Ford Dunton and Ford Motor Company Heritage Collection for all of their support. Pictures of the selfies from each day can be viewed here: Rose Rally Gallery.
